- Prepare the edge: Trim, sand, and optionally bevel the edge of your leather.
- Apply a thin layer: Rub a small amount of Tokonole onto the edge or flesh side using your finger, a cotton swab, or a small sponge.
- Let it dry slightly: Wait until the gum is partially dry (tacky rather than soaking wet) for the best bonding and friction results.
- Burnish: Rub the edge briskly with a canvas cloth, wooden slicker, or mechanical burnisher until smooth and shiny
